Music video observations[]

In due order screenshot

Lee dances in a white room with the hairy figures.

The video begins with no relation to the ending of the previous video, play. Jonna Lee dances and does various movements with her arms, while five other hairy figures dance with her in a white room. She wears an outfit with a texture similar to that of the hairy figures. A 5x5 bookcase is constantly focused on throughout the video.

Notes[]

  1. The hairy figures' coats now have braids and balls.
  2. play is aesthetically a direct contrast to in due order, the former being more disorganised and the latter being more co-ordinated. Lee dances in a disorderly manner with the hairy figures in the former, whereas she dances in a structured pattern with them in the latter. Additionally, her messy hair in the former is tied into braids in the latter, and her white underwear changes to a texture similar to the hairy figures' coats, co-ordinating with their appearance. (left brain/right brain theory)
  3. While play and in due order may not seem to be linked, staircases are shown in both videos, and thus are presumed to have a connection.

Trivia[]

  • Lee has commented about in due order in an interview, explaining that the video is about “Me controlling me. Showing my true sides, I guess, and contrasting to the lustfulness of playing that happens before that.”
  • The video was filmed in Färgfabriken in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lyrics[]

We don't ask for anything
Your lives could have been unaffected
We don't ask you to give all
It won't make us more
Than what is reflected

Can you see the scar in the perfect sky?
And the hills align with a crooked smile?
Oh, oh why?

We don't ask for anything
Your lives could have been unaffected
We don't ask you to give all
It won't make us more
Than what is reflected
